Every Saturday morning (in the summer every Monday evening) in the courtyard of the Cinema Lumière the Bologna Earth Market takes place, the farmer’s market organized by Slow Food, thanks to the collaboration from the Bologna Cineteca and the support of the Province of Bologna and the Carisbo Foundation.
From 9 to 2, more than 30 farmers from our territory sell their “km zero” seasonal products directly and at fair prices. Fruits and vegetables, bread and biscuits, milk and yogurt, eggs and meat, cheeses and salami, wine and beer, honey and jam, flowers and fresh pasta: the best quality in the territory, guaranteed by the face of the farmer.
At the Market is a Slow Food stand where you can get acquainted with our activities, become a member, and find a vast selection of books and DVDs for sale.
How to Get to the Market:
By Bike: Bicycle parking at the entrance to the Cinema Lumière
By Bus: Line 18 / Shuttle B: bus-stop Rondone is within 300 meters
Line 32/33: bus-stop Porta Lame is within 300 meters
Line 13/19/36: bus-stop Riva Reno is within 600 meters
By car: From Ercolani Street or from Calor Street without crossing the ZTL get on Del Rondone Street and take it to APCOA Parking, 100 meters from the Market costing 2 euro an hour.

Started on November 29th 2008, the market has been weekly since September 2009.
The Bologna Earth Market also carries out an important part of the social and commercial revitalization of the local area designated “Factory of the Arts” composed of the cinema and library spaces of the Bologna Cineteca, the DMS laboratory, the Salara building, the Bologna Museum of Modern Art MAMbo, the Communications Science Department of the University of bologna, and the ex-tobacco factory September 11th Park.
The Bologna Earth Market project enters this new urban context not just as a space for food distribution, but in as a place of socializing and spreading gastronomic and nutritious culture.
