El Mina was launched in December 2007, and was the first of the current three Earth Markets operating in Lebanon.
The market is held on land provided by Tripoli City Council, not far from the sea and the city's fishing port, and provides a venue for around thirty local producers to sell their produce: seasonal fruit and vegetables, traditionally made Lebanese products such as mouneh (vegetable preserves), olive oil, fruit juices, and honey. The market is held every Thursday morning.

A special street food area is reserved for women who prepare tasty fatayer (stuffed pastries with herbs and spices) and other local delicacies. A small number of artisans who make food-related items are also permitted to sell their wares.

Every thursday, from 8am to 3pm, in front of Bou-khalil hypermarket.
